Wire Cable out of the Pulley Guide
We just got home from a two-month family vacation. We had fun but the trip home was exhausting. To add to the misery, we could not properly park our car in the garage as the garage door just wouldn't open. So exhausted we were, I had my teenage son help me carry the luggage into the house so we could settle in and relax.
Once rested, I checked the garage door to see the problem
I noticed immediately that the wire cable on one pulley was out of the pulley guide. As a do-it-yourself person, I did not want to try and fix that up because of all the horror stories I’ve heard about people getting hurt, trying to fix spring-related problems on their garage doors.
I called this garage repair company and asked for a technician. The guy arrived within 20 minutes. He looked at the problem and very carefully, he loosed the spring tension, adjusted the cables, got it back in alignment and voila! The door was functioning again.
