Garage Door Bottom Rubber Seal

The seal is a strip of rubber material which has the same size as the bottom of the door. The seal is attached directly to the bottom of the unit. It is held in place by a specially designed retainer. Most garage doors sold at present come with both retainer and seal with the latter item being replaceable.

It prevents cold air from getting inside and helps to keep the garage well insulated. That is why it is often referred to as weather strip. It prevents insects including pests from entering the garage as well. The bottom seal can be used in conjunction with other weather strips which cover the sides and the top part of the door.
